President's Message

Hello All Seasons,
"Wanna be a Baller, Shot-Caller", alright, alright its time for the All Seasons Club Gathering and Northern Cali Ski Club Softball Challenge. Once again its time to hang out, eat some "Q" and partake in the sports event of the year. We're talkin' softball and we're gonna be talkin' trash. We have 5 teams that are itching to get their names on the coveted trophy, Ebony Ski has had the bragging rights for a year but 4 other teams have hopes of a dethroning. Calling the ballers for All Seasons, Black Avalanche, Fire & Ice, U2CANSKI, Ebony Ski & Racquet, there is work to do but most of all lets just have fun.

NAPA SPA & WINE TASTING: Well something unprecedented happened at last months General Meeting, a member ( Victor Howe ) stood up and asked to be heard. He said he did not understand the decision not to have the Napa Spa & Wine tasting trip this year especially since last years trip was such a success. He asked that the decision be revisited, well as a result of Victor stepping up we have put the trip back on the Calendar. This really was a fun trip and we learned a lot about winemaking. Thanks Vic and tell Luz I haven't forgot that she promised to do breakfast for everyone this year.

Summer Carnival: Yes I'm talking about Summer Carnival '06. You know why? because its never too early. I had the opportunity to spend a weekend at Montelago Resort, Lake Las Vegas in Henderson, Nevada. What a great place, beautiful rooms, beautiful resort, Casino on the grounds, free Jazz Concert under the stars on the grass, paddle boats and ferry tours. Put aside a weekend next year and plan on attending Summer Carnival. This event, at this venue, will mark the beginning of a new era for this Western Region fundraiser.

Are you ready for some football? Yes its finally here and not a day too soon. Of course I will adorn the Silver n' Black and watch my team spank some NFL butt. Whomever your team may be, stay true to your team and yell till your throat hurts. GO RAIDERS!!!

Remember, see your trip leaders and sign up for WINTER CARNIVAL and SUMMIT '06 BANFF, CANADA

Gary D. Garrett, President - All Seasons Ski Club
