NOVEMBER 2005 Issue

NBS Mission: " To identify, develop and support athletes of color, who will win international and Olympic winter sports competitions, representing the United States, and increase participation in winter sports"

President's Message

Hello All Seasons,
It is just about time to do what we live for.......SKI SEASON is almost upon us and I am ready, are you? better get yo' mind right. I want to get 30+ days on the slopes, but before I get too far into that let me say we had a day trip to Sonoma for Spa treatments and Wine Tasting. Sonoma doesn't receive the traffic like Napa but the wines are second to none. They also pay more attention to their winery aesthetics with beautifully landscapes grounds, flower gardens and grassy picnic areas.

I want to thank everyone involved and especially Victor Howe for stepping up as a member in good standing, voicing his opinion as to putting this trip put back on the calendar. We had great weather and great people. We also learned a few more things and yes,Tosha joined another Wine club. Victor I promise we will be make a stop at Artesa Vineyards next year.

WINTER CARNIVAL '06
Lake Tahoe, Heavenly ski resort, Casinos, great entertainment and parties everywhere. What are you waiting for?? Lets get signed up for this great Holiday Ski weekend. I don't care if you ski, I don't care where you stay, you don't even have to be there, JUST REGISTER! Trust me you don't want to miss this one. What could be better? Four to Five days in beautiful Lake Tahoe with family and friends sliding down the slopes overlooking the blue water with a light spray of snow across your face, Damn, I'm ready.

FUNFEST IN HUATULCO, MEXICO
By the time some of you actually sit down and read this I will be with 50+ All Seasons members sunning on the Bays of Huatulco, Mexico. Thanks to our tripleaders Angie Ross and Karen Allen, All Seasons has the most members by far of all Western Region Clubs attending this event. Snorkeling, ATV Jungle Tours, 7 bay cruise, scuba diving and maybe, just maybe we will have time for a drink or two. With the numbers we have going you better clear your computer storage and get ready for the rush of digital pictures.

Feeling blessed, Gary
Gary Garrett
President All Seasons Ski Club
